The 10 most common bra problems and how you can solve them

Who hasn't experienced this? It pinches and tweaks somewhere, but you don't know exactly how to fix it. We have investigated the most common bra problems for you and found the right solution for every annoying problem. THE Solution found.

1. your underbust band slides up at the back

You are definitely wearing an underbust band that is too wide. The bra should run straight around your body parallel to the floor so that it can support most of your weight. Initially, it should only be fastened at the first hook so that you still have room to tighten it when it gets wider over time.

You can easily measure your underbust measurement yourself with a tape measure directly under your chest. Make sure that the tape measure is pointing straight around your body. Now exhale, look straight ahead and tighten it, then simply read it off. The centimetres will then correspond to your underbust size.

2. the breast looks out from under the bra when you raise your arms

Even then, your underbust band will be too wide as it will not hold the cups and underwires in place. Choose a bra with a lower first number in the size, i.e. a 70 instead of a 75 or an 85 instead of a 90.

3. you have a double breast

If your cup edge cuts into the breast tissue, either your cups are too small or the cut of the bra simply doesn't suit your breast shape. For breasts that are very close together and have a high volume, for example, a Balconette bra like "Liberty Conscious" or a Full-cup bra such as "Clara Lace", which have a higher cup.

4. the underwires press into your armpits

If the underwires press into your breast tissue, then they are too narrow for you. Either a larger cup or a bra shape with a wider underwire will help. You are welcome to visit our Customer service ask for models with wider cups. Women with a high chest and usually a shorter upper body are familiar with the problem of the underwires poking directly into the armpit. Look for bras that have a narrower underbust band and underwires that do not reach so high under the arm. They usually work Plunge bras like "Vienna" here very well.

5. your straps slip off your shoulders

If you have a problem with straps that are too long, make sure that the straps are always fully adjustable so that you can tighten them. If you have slightly sloping shoulders, it is better to choose a bra with straps that are further inwards or a bra with Multiway carriers like "Diamond", which you can cross at the back.

6. the cups stick out at the décolleté

Then you are wearing a bra that has a cup that is too big for you or even an underbust band that is too big, because then the cups cannot be held against the body, the underwires do not enclose the full breast and leave air at the front and usually at the center bridge or under the breast.

7. the center bar is not in contact

As described above, a too wide underbust band is to blame here. If this is not the case, it may also be that the cups are too small or that there is not enough volume in the cup for the breast. The bust then pushes the cups away from the body and the center bridge cannot rest against the breastbone. Look for bras with a deep cup volume or generally try a cup size larger.

8. you have uneven breasts

No problem, almost all women have this. If you want to conceal this, then it's best to choose a Cup bra like our "Pure" and fit it for the larger bust so that the size and shape look the same under shirts. Otherwise Unpadded bras like the "Eliana" bralette with elastic lace to fit uneven breasts perfectly.

9. the straps of your bra cut in and you get back pain

Most of the weight of your chest should be supported by the underbust band and not by the straps. If this doesn't work because the band is too wide, it can be very uncomfortable for your shoulders in the long run. So look for a narrower underbust band that is slightly wider. Also preformed, padded shells like our bestselling bra "Pure Conscious" or "Lucy" can help here, as they provide extra support for the breasts and reduce weight. You can then loosen the straps a little. Test tip: A perfect bra won't change its fit much if you pull the straps off your shoulders.
